Evil Editor is Five Today!

Well, his blog is anyway.

As a tribute to him I want to tell you how evil he is.

  • He publishes writers' query letters for public derision so that when they send them to an agent all the kinks will have been worked out.
  • He posts pictures for his minions to caption and then edits the captions to make them even funnier without taking any of the credit.
  • He arranges bookchats with the authors present and then gets his minions to play nicely with them.
  • He answers questions about the publishing industry.
  • He makes us all laugh.
Can you get more evil than that?

There's a party going on with competitions and prizes in his honour. What are you waiting for?

Cheap books!

Amazon is having a sale of ebooks: over 200 books at under £1.50 each. So far, the only one I'd recommend is The End of Mr Y but you might find something you like there.

If you want ebooks, though, I'd recommend Replica by Lexi Revellian. It's already as cheap as the books in the sale and it's a fun read. I really enjoyed it.
Beth Chandler works in a government research institute, and is accidentally replicated in a flawed experiment. The replica has no official existence, and when she overhears plans to liquidate her, goes on the run. Homeless, penniless and pursued by MI5, she has to learn how to survive on icy London streets. Meanwhile, the original Beth, unaware of what has happened, becomes romantically involved with Nick Cavanagh, the spec op she believes is there to protect her. In fact, he’s hunting her double.
Our lovely Phoenix also has a book on amazon at a low, low price (71p). Spoil of War is
a fascinating account of early Britain, a gripping tale of lust, love and the horrors of ancient warfare. Beautifully written, filled with myriad period details and compelling characters, it takes you deep into the heart of a brutal era -- and into the nature of feminine honor, feminine courage. I was enthralled. – JENNIFER BLAKE, NY Times Bestselling Author
Oh, and if you don't have a Kindle you have no excuse! It's free to download the Kindle application to your pc, laptop, or even some mobile phones. So what are you waiting for?

New ways to look at fairyhedgehog

Try cutting and pasting this http://fairyhedgehog.blogspot.com/view/mosaic into your address bar.

If you click on the word "Mosaic" in the top right corner, you'll get a choice of ways to view the blog. I'm not sure if there's an easier way to get at this; it's something Blogger have just brought out.

What do you think?

Instead of writing

I was given some fantabulous wool for my birthday so I've been making these:

I know Richard takes wonderful photos and writtenwyrdd does amazing artwork when she's not potty-training her dogs. Sylvia flies and Stacy does yoga and composes music.

What do you like to do that isn't work?
