A blog post a day

Two Bloggers, after Norman Rockwell

I've posted before about Tim Hallinan. He has a Finish Your Novel section on his website that I highly recommend. It's inspired me many a time.

Now he's started The Stupid 365 Project. He's going to post on his blog every single day for a year, at least 300 words. He's up to day 35 so far and we've read about Hell; disposable razors; Hepburn; Olivier (both of whom he met); short stories; and iPods; to name just a few of the topics he's covered. How on earth does he find something to write about every day? If you pop over to his blog you might find out.

Wow. At least 300 words a day for a year?! I did NaBloWriMo, but I don't think I could keep it up for a whole year. I'll have to go check out his blog.

Kitty, you're very welcome! I love your blog, it's always so upbeat!

Golden Eagle, it's a pretty major undertaking but he's doing OK so far.

Finding something to write about wouldn't be hard, but finding the time (and desire) would be harder, I'd think. Sure, it might be fine for quite a while, but what happens when you're sick or really busy with the holidays or just plain don't feel like writing? That's when it'd drag me down, I think.

I do love that he set a 300 word minimum for himself. I know people who post every day, but for the above mentioned issue, they often just post pictures. Still takes dedication, of course, but knowing you actually have to *write* is awesome.

Hi Jessi, it's a huge thing to take on but he seems to be managing so far. He says that writing every day is helping his novelling too!

When I began my blog, it was an exercise in discipline-to write something every day. I did it, until it became an obsession. I got to where I would spend hours visiting, commenting, replying....and I needed to find a healthier balance. So I cut back. During nano, it's twice a week posting and once a week visiting....

Sounds like he's putting a lot of thought into his posts!

Words Crafter, I'm sure it would be easy for blogging to take over! I mostly find it a pleasant distraction at the moment but then I do write short posts!

I agree that Tim is putting a lot into his blog and his post today is very funny.
