One last thing...

Bevie had been ill for some time and wasn't able to work, so his financial situation was increasingly difficult for him and his family. We're not able to send flowers for the funeral tomorrow and in any case the money can probably be put to better use.

Stacy had the wonderful idea of setting up a PayPal account to take donations for Bevie's family. If you'd like to give a donation as the last thing you can do for Bevie, then why not pop over now to Stacy's Cafe. The donation link is in her left hand sidebar. When the donations are in, Stacy will send a money order to Bevie's widow as after discussion with the family this was agreed to be most helpful to them.

It's all that's left for us to do now. You can do it here.

I've been to Stacy's Cafe.

It's a comfort for Bevie's family to know that he had many bloggie friends too.

Take care

Hello,

I went to Bevie's memorial service today. It was good. There were at least a hundred people in attendance; mostly family and friends, and quite a few co-workers from his days at BGEA. His brother-in-law delivered the message. Many stories were told about his life, and the times we shared with him.

I read the first draft of the first chapter of his epic novel over thirty years ago. I imagine that it has changed a lot since then. It would be nice if someone could pick this up and get it published.

Thanks Stacy and FHH! I really appreciate all you're doing for his family.

Jithran, I'm glad the service went well. I'm not surprised that it was well attended - Bevie had a knack of making friends! I've been wondering what would happen to all his stories but I haven't liked to trouble his family with questions at a time like this. He really wanted people to read them.

Sarah, it's all down to Stacy and I'm really grateful to her too.
